Redwood Landfill is home to WM EarthCareTM Landscape Center, featuring a family of landscape products locally sourced and produced from 100% recycled materials, including Redwood’s own Homegrown Compost.
Homegrown Compost is made at the Redwood Landfill from local yard trimmings and residential food scraps. It is listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for organic farming applications and participates in the US Composting Council Seal of Testing Assurance program.
WM EarthCareTM family of landscape products include mulch made from recovered clean construction lumber debris and aggregate made from recycled concrete for base and drain rock and other hardscape applications. The products are produced by Waste Management at our Bay Area facilities keeping materials local and reducing associated carbon emissions in production and distribution. There are seven WM EarthCare Landscape Centers in the Bay Area.
